Bush Wedding in Africa

Bush Wedding in Africa

Imagine the perfect setting for your bush wedding in Africa on the rolling verdant Savannah of Tanzania. The sky is a stunning blue and gentle breezes whisper all around you carrying with them reverberations of lions roaring in the distance along with the melodies of birds, while, maybe a herd of elephants, elegant giraffes or even stripy zebras traverse as your faraway backdrop.

The bride steps out from her tent, resplendent in her wedding gown, perhaps, embellished with delicate, traditional Maasai bead jewelry. Maasai warriors now line the path to the altar, holding spears and other traditional weapons, forming a striking red escort. The groom awaits on a grassy patch with maybe, the shade of acacia umbrella tree overhead while the nuptial minister stands by, ready to officiate a union of two souls.

This is only one of the distinct possible bush espousal experiences in Tanzania you could have with the help of your Kim.tours wedding planner. The awesome beauty of Tanzania offers many venues for a dream wedding, and you could choose from a selection of wilderness locations like Selous, Ruaha, Mikumi, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Arusha Park or the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru.

And, of course, the picturesque golden plains of the Serengeti. Have your bridal vows in the bush with nature's bounty all around. You could also choose to have a small, intimate ceremony or a larger one with all your friends and extended family to share these very special moments of your life.

Confess with Kim.tours Safaris to make every dream come true. Our safari wedding planner will spend time understanding all your dreams for the perfect nuptial in the African bush, and we will ensure every last detail is taken care of. Or simply watch the glorious sunsets over the Savannah with chilled cocktails in hand.

Just like the wedding, your honeymoon is also planned to perfection. Go wafting over the winds as the landscape opens below you on a balloon trip culminating in a champagne breakfast in the bush. Spend time in a Maasai village dancing with them or on hand-in-hand bush walks exploring the secrets of Mother Nature.

You also have the option of being whisked away to a honeymoon beach holiday destination in eastern Tanzania where the powdery white sands, stunning turquoise of the Indian Ocean and verdant coastal vegetation weave a romantic, starry-eyed spell around you. Allow us to plan your event in the finest of safari accommodations that are efficiently run and extremely well organized, so you have nothing but charmed memories of a wonderful bush union in East Africa.

Legal Requirements For Safari Weddings In Tanzania

Being well-experienced in planning and organizing weddings in distinct locations in Tanzania, you can leave it to us at Kim.tours Safaris to meticulously take care of all the legalities and paperwork for you so you can just revel in every moment of your much-awaited matrimony in Tanzania. While we can arrange for your event at any time of the year, we would recommend that you avoid the dates from December 24th to January 4th. We may not be able to accept wedding requests for public holidays like Easter, Christmas and the New Year.

Since government officials take time off during these days, it can be a challenge to arrange for one to officiate your marital request. Also, these are the times when the camps and lodges have maximal safari guests in Tanzania thus best to avoid them during the festive period. We will require that you make certain documents available to us at least 6 weeks before the planned travel date of your wedding in Tanzania. While you can send them in by fax or email, you will need to ensure you have the originals in hand for inspection when you arrive in Tanzania.

  • Your occupation and the religion/belief/faith you follow.
  • Notarized copy of your valid passports.

  • No impediment certificate acquired from your country. This certificate that must be duly notarized and certifies in English that you are not married. Previously married and divorced individuals would have to provide the necessary divorce certification. But, if you have been widowed, you must provide the necessary death certificate.

  • Two passport sized photographs of the prospective bride and groom.

According to Tanzanian law, Kim.tours must inform the government of your intentions to get married, and we will do this with the Office of the District Commissioner. Also, we will visit a local office of the Registrar of Marriages and submit the necessary completed forms along with all other mandatory documents and fees.

There is a 21-day waiting window in which any person wanting to object to the marriage can place his/her impediment. To avoid this interim period, you have the option of requesting a Special Marriage License that waives the waiting period. After paying the necessary fee, you can get married right away if you prefer.

It is advisable that you obtain an International Certificate of Marriage that we can procure from the Registrar of Marriages by submitting an application form along with a fee. An endorsement from the Tanzanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also necessary for immigration purposes for some countries. Aside from the legal formalities, we will also arrange for the Registrar to be transported to and from the safari venue of your wedding rites in Tanzania.

Choose from a selection of locations to build a lifetime of memories such as a small ceremony near a deep river bank with hippos grunting in the water or on a lake with the vibrant fuchsia of millions of flamingos lighting up the backdrop. Even get married in a hot air balloon tour while floating over the golden grasslands of Serengeti or have a twilight wedding with the sun setting over the Savannah.

If you would like the accompaniment of your favorite music or a special song on a sweetheart bride’s walk down the aisle to meet the darling groom, please arrange for the appropriate MP3 file or CD. We will organize the cake and flowers that match your theme along with an experienced hairstylist and beautician flown in from Dar es Salaam or Arusha to ensure that the wife-to-be looks her ravishing best on the wedding ceremony day.

If you opt for a traditional Maasai or Sukuma wedding, we can arrange for singing ceremonies, cultural bridal dances and village choirs. The Maasai love weddings and their elders will be able to give their blessings to the newlyweds for a long and happy matrimonial life.

Your event would not be complete without a specialist photographer to record the happy moments. The DVDs and pictures our professional will put together will include some footage of the time you spend before, during and after the wedding with distinct coverage of the bush venue capturing every nuance of the splendor of Tanzania. And you will have beautifully created mementos of your wedlock to cherish all your life.

After the wedding, as you leave for some blissful time alone on your safari honeymoon, Kim.tours will take care of all your vacationing guests, making sure they are comfortable and regaled until it is time for them to return home.
