DAY 1
ARUSHA/MOSHI TO LUSHOTO (5HRS DRIVE).
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Lushoto Executive Lodge
In the morning at 7:30 am depart from Moshi to Lushoto West Usambara where you will arrive in the early afternoon for lunch. Afternoon walk or drive to Irente viewpoint and Irente Farm. The farmers produce many types of fruits and vegetables. Full board & overnight at 3 star hotel/lodge.
DAY 2
LUSHOTO-MAGAMBA FOREST MALINDI VILLAGE (4-6HRS WALKING).
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Lushoto Executive Lodge
Breakfast followed by walking to the Magamba rainforest, visit an old stanch dug by the German during World War 1, the guide will provide an explanation of German and British Colonial history. Proceed on walking thru the rainforest of Magamba via Lukozi village to Malindi village. Dinner and overnight at Lushoto Executive Lodge: Full board.
DAY 3
MALINDI VILLAGE-RANGWI VILLAGE ( 4-6 HRS WALKING).
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Lushoto Executive Lodge
Breakfast, then walk along valleys and sloping hillsides of the inner Usambara Mountain passing by the vegetable farms lined with eucalyptus and banana trees. You will pass thru the villages of Makose and Kagulio, proceed to Rangwi. Dinner and overnight at Lushoto Executive Lodge: Full board.
DAY 4
RANGWI-MTAE VILLAGE (4-5HRS WALKING).
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Mombo View Eco Lodge
After breakfast walk to Mtae via Sunga village and thru Shengayu forest, on the way you will see Mamboleo village, these villages are well known for their soil conservation and traditional irrigation project which concentrate on the development of stone and bench terraces to improve farming, thorough explanation by your guide on how the people of Shambaa tribe living in the area do keep their surrounding environment, Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5
MOMBO TO MOSHI/ARUSHA.
Return to Tanga City or Moshi or Arusha.
The Tour Price Includes
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport or Dar es salaam Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Lunch and dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2-4 and breakfast and lunch on day 5 of your trip.
- A camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives and all park entry fees 18% VAT on tour fees and service which cost nearly 60% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4x4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi to the destination and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges. In case of hotels/lodge/tented Camps, we can arrange it for you (the prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Mid range hotel/lodge/tented camps according to the program, other prices are applicable for the other accommodation options).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- Mountain gears + Sleeping bag (can be rented, please ask us at the time of the booking).
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
