Safari Overview
For anyone who’s hoping to see all of the big five – lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and cape buffalo – we recommend this itinerary as an absolute minimum. You can find elephants in Tarangire National park, dozens of lions in the Serengeti and buffaloes more or less everywhere. Leopards and rhinoceros are a bit more difficult to find, with only about 16 rhinos left in Ngorongoro Crater, but we’ll do whatever we can to help make it happen. And of course there’s so many other species that are just as interesting, and of which you’ll be able to see plenty as well! This 5-day tour takes you to the best and legendary national parks in Tanzania like the Serengeti national park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park.

DAY 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Tarangire
08:00hrs drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drives with picnic lunch boxes. Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. Late afternoon depart the park and drive for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 2
Tarangire - Central Serengeti National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Serengeti
After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch boxes, game drives en route towards Serengeti. The Serengeti is Africa's most famous. Renowned for its incredible concentrations of predators and the Great Migration of two million grazers, a safari here is guaranteed to be exceptional. Home to the largest herds and the highest concentrations of predators.Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board
DAY 3
Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Serengeti
Spend a full day in Serengeti for game drives, return to the camp for hot lunch then relaxation before departing for an afternoon game drive/you can depart with picnic lunch box for a full day game drive. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro via Olduvai Gorge

A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Ngorongoro
After breakfast at Campsite/Lodge/Tented in the morning you will start on our way to The Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On your way you have the chance to visit Olduvai – Gorge where Leakey’s family discovered human fossils dating millions of years suggesting that Africa is the Cradle of mankind. You will leave through Naabi Hill gate and continue with game drives inside the Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp (FB)
DAY 5
Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) and back to Arusha

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater and descend inside the crater for game drives with picnic lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. It is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe. Late afternoon ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha. End of Services.
The Tour Price Includes
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Lunch and dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2-4 and breakfast and lunch on day 5 of your trip.
- A camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives, Concession fees, Accommodation, All park entry fees, Government tax 18% VAT on tour fees and Service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you (The prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Budget/Standard/Mid-range or Luxury hotels/lodges/tented camps according to your choice).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day.
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Accommodation in Arusha. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Serengeti balloon ride, per person Adult (Above 16yrs) $599, Child (7-16yrs) $545. {Central All year round, Western 15th May - 30th Oct, and North 15th June - 15th Jan} Daily launch at dawn (6:30am) returning approx. 9:45am.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
