Safari Overview
Enjoy beauty of landscape of Tanzania and sandy beaches of fully historical stone town of Zanzibar. Apart from seeing Big five of Ruaha National Park - one of the few Tanzania’s famous wilderness area where one can have a rare experience of game viewing spiced up by the fascinating landscape. The park is rich of plants and animals like greater kudu, which cannot be found within the other park . The park boasts of her almost untouched and unexplored ecosystem, making visitors’ safari experience very unique. The Great Ruaha River as other rivers like Mwagusi, Jongomero and Mzombe save because the life line of the park. During season, these rivers become mostly the foremost source of water for wildlife. There are few natural springs saving the same purpose. In the pick of season, elephants obtain water from dry sand rivers using their front feet and trunks. The remaining water falls along the great Ruaha River are also important habitat for hippopotamus, fish and crocodiles.

DAY 1
Dar es salaam - Ruaha National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Ruaha
An early in the morning we depart Dar es salaam around 5:00 am to Ruaha national park, an eight hours drive from Dar es salaam. We will stop at Mikumi for lunch at Iringa and continue to drive until Ruaha national park. We will arrive in Ruaha national park in the late afternoon. The day concludes with check-in at lodge or camp where dinner awaits us at the between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m.
DAY 2
Game drive to Ruaha National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Ruaha
An early morning departure from camp is strongly advised for a better chance at spotting lions. A departure of 6:30 a.m. is recommended. We will take breakfast and Lunchboxes with us and we will have a full day game drive at the park. We will also stop at picnic sites for a break and stretching; As with the first night, we return to the camp where dinner awaits us between 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. Dinner and overnight Budget | Midrange | Luxury Lodge.
DAY 3
Game drive to Ruaha National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Ruaha
As the second day, we leave around 6:30 a.m. We will take breakfast with us and we will have a half-day game drive in the park. We then return to the camp where hot lunch awaits us between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. After lunch, we will rest for 2 hours before we begin the evening drive until sunset. We then return to the camp where dinner awaits us between 7 pm to 8 pm. Dinner and overnight at Budget | Midrange | Luxury Camp or Lodge.
DAY 4
Ruaha National Park to Iringa to Dar es Salaam

A Hotel/Lodge in Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam
The day starts with an early morning game drive in Ruaha National Park. Breakfast will be served upon return to the Camp. We then drive to Dar es salaam via Iringa and we will have our lunch boxes with us that allow us to stop at any picnic place for lunch at the right time. Dinner and overnight at Budget | Mid range | Luxury Hotel in Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam (Incase we delay the boat - You will overnight in Dar es Salaam)
DAY 5
Zanzibar Stone Town
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Hotel in Zanzibar
In this we will start safari early morning around 8:00Am by boat(Azam marine) on way to Zanzibar, Zanzibar we will be around 10:45Am, then we will go to hotel hotel stone town, we will relax for one hour in hotel, then around 12:00Pm it will be time for lunch. Around 1:00Pm we'll take private boat direct to prison island, we will spend up to evening in this island with different water activities. Around 5:00pm we'll start safari to back at hotel.
DAY 6
Kizimkazi Dolphin Tour and Jozani Forest Reserve

Explore Zanzibar’s fascinating wildlife on a 10-hr outing that combines dolphin-spotting, snorkeling and a pristine forest reserve. You’ll join a guide for a motorboat tour from a coastal fishing village, then don a snorkel to check out the marine wildlife beneath the waves. Next, head to Jozani Forest Reserve, Zanzibar’s only national park, where old-growth forest is home to the endemic red colobus monkey, as well as hyrax, bush babies and birds
DAY 7
Reserved for Departure - Drop off in Zanzibar Airport

Upon request at extra cost
After breakfast, Kim’zebra Adventures & Safaris representative will transfer you to Zanzibar airport for your scheduled flight. Out of Tanzania & Zanzibar Island, Today you will have to bid a fond farewell to Tanzania and Zanzibar Island. At the appropriate time you will be taken to Zanzibar Airport for your international flight. See you again in Tanzania!
The Tour Price Includes
- All Internal Transfers.
- Boat ticket (Zanzibar Azam marine)
- Half day private tour in Stone town.
- Half day private snorkeling Tour to Dolphin & Jozani.
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- In case of a camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives and all park entry fees 18% VAT on tour fees and service which cost nearly 80% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you(the prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Standard to High level ends hotels/lodge/tented Camps according to the program, other prices are applicable for the other accommodation options).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Meals not listed above. eg Dinner while you’re in Zanzibar, Breakfast on the first day and Lunch and dinner on the last day.
- Post accommodation in Zanzibar. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Zanzibar to Dar. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
