Luxury Safari

DAY 1

Arrival at Windhoek

On arrival at Windhoek Airport you will be met and driven to your hotel. Here our ground agent will meet with you, run through your trip, hand over your mobile phone, cool box and driving directions. They will also be present whilst your hire car is delivered to answer any questions you may have.

DAY 2

The Naukluft Mountains

You will drive into the Naukluft Mountains this morning to the Corona Guest Farm. Corona has lots of space for children to play and you can enjoy a short nature walk if you choose.

DAY 3

Sossusvlei & Sesriem

You will continue your journey on to Sossusvlei today. Here you'll stay in the relaxed and family friendly Desert Quiver Camp. You can explore under your own steam this afternoon or take a guided nature drive before relaxing with a swim back at the camp and a barbecue on your patio under the stars.

DAY 4

Sossusvlei & Sesriem

Spend today clambering among the sand dunes at Sossusvlei — the views from the top are worth the hike and it's great fun to slither back down again! Walking into Deadvlei is a highlight for spectacular scenery.

DAY 5

Swakopmund and Pelican point

Today you'll set off for Swakopmund. Walvis Bay is a good place to stop and stretch your legs and there are flamingos and often pelicans to see in the lagoon. Depending on what time you arrive into Swakopmund you might want to spend the afternoon on the beach, at the aquarium or exploring the town.

DAY 6

Swakopmund and Pelican point

A fun way to spend a couple of hours is on a fat bike, peddling through the streets of Swakopmund, along the sandy beach and then up through the dunes. An alternative is the Living Desert Tour which shows children lizards, geckos and more in the desert.

DAY 7

Damaraland

Drive north into Damaraland today keeping your eyes out for wildlife along the road. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Camp Kipwe which has a large pool to enjoy or you could explore and see some of the nearby rock engravings on the short walking trail nearby.

DAY 8

Damaraland

This morning you could visit the rock carvings if you didn't manage to get there yesterday or spend time exploring more of the area, visiting the burnt mountain and organ pipes, or taking a day trip from the lodge in search of desert-adapted elephant.

DAY 9

Etosha National Park

This morning you will head out for Etosha and Okaukuejo Rest Camp. The rondavels here are close to the waterhole and are great for families. There is a good sized pool and the camp is fenced so well suited to children. In the centre of camp is a floodlit waterhole, surrounded by benches where you can sit and spot game throughout the day and into the night.

DAY 10

Etosha National Park

A full day to explore Etosha in your own car. We provide you with a map of the park and you can choose which waterholes to head for and how long you'd like to go game viewing for. Returning to camp in the middle of the day you can enjoy a buffet lunch, picnic or barbecue and spend some time in the pool before setting out for another game drive.

DAY 11

Etosha National Park

Another day of game viewing. It is possible to book a guided safari if you want to learn more but we enjoy self-driving through Etosha and spending time at a waterhole of your choice. If you like you can set off for Halali and stop there to stretch your legs, have lunch and use their pool before heading back to Okaukuejo.

DAY 12

The Central Highlands

Today you will be heading south to Okonjima, nestled in the beautiful Omboroko Mountains within the Central Highlands. As today's drive is relatively short you will have time for a final self-driven safari in Etosha this morning before hitting the road. Okonjima offer an incredible range of activities — for those interested in spotting the big cats we suggest opting to join one of their expert guides and trackers in search for cheetah and leopard

DAY 13

Reserved for Departure - Drop off in Airport

Today you will depart Okonjima and head back to the International airport. The total drive time is approximately two and a half hours.

The Tour Price Includes

  • Airport transfers (Pick-up and drop-off)
  • Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
  • Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
  • Dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2-12 and breakfast on day 13 of your trip.
  • Game drives and all park entry fees 18% VAT on tour fees and service which cost nearly 80% of the total cost.
  • Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
  • Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
  • 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
  • 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
  • Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you(the prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Standard to Mid-range hotels/lodge/tented Camps according to the program, other prices are applicable for the other accommodation options).

The Tour Price Excludes

  • Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast and Lunch on the first day, Lunch and Dinner on the last day.
  • Namibian Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
  • International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
  • Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
  • Post accommodation in day 13. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
  • Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
  • Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Namibian Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
  • Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
  • A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
