This itinerary is suitable to all people who are fit and really enjoying the culture mixed with adventures of oldonyo lengai trekking. After the trek you will spend one day relaxing at the camp over view the spectacular view of Lake Natron as well as Mount oldoinyo Lengai. DAY 1
Arusha – Lake Natron
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Kamakia Camp
On your way today, you may spot some animals like zebras, gnus, giraffes, and more, enjoy your packed lunch in the afternoon overview Oldonyo Lengai. We arrive in the late afternoon for relaxation, enjoying sunset dinner.
DAY 2
Drive to the base of Mt. Oldoinyo Lengai
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Kamakia Camp
Wake up early in the night at 1 am for tea and biscuits then drive to the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai to begin the ascent in time to view the sunrise from the peak. Descend back down the mountain and drive back to camp for breakfast and relaxation.
DAY 3
Lake Natron/ Waterfall walking tour
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Kamakia Camp
Today after leisurely breakfast you will take a walk visit Lake Natron that attracts thousands of flamingos also lake Natron is the major breeding site for flamingos. Later walk back to the camp for hot lunch and relaxation. Later you will be guided to the waterfall and enjoying swimming in the natural swimming pool. Later back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4
Natron – Arusha
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Upon request at extra cost
Today after leisurely breakfast you will be guided to the village for the Masai walk cultural experience the way of their life as well as dancing. Later back to the camp for hot lunch and after lunch fare well to Lake Natron and drive back to Arusha where your tour ends.
The Tour Price Includes
- Permission for the ascent.
- Filtered water throughout the trek.
- Transportation to & from the mountain.
- Fees local communities on Lake Natron.
- Optional tour to the Ngara Sero waterfall.
- Professional mountain guides, cooks and porters.
- Camping equipment – tents, sleeping mattress and camping furniture.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 1-2 and breakfast & lunch on day 3 of your trip.
- All Park fees, Rescue fees, Camping fees, and 18% VAT on tour fees and service which cost nearly 60% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
The Tour Price Excludes
- Meals not listed above. eg dinner on the last.
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Accommodation in Arusha. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Services of porters during the climb, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
