DAY 1

PRE: Arrival in Tanzania

Upon arrival in Julius Nyerere Airport meet and greet with Kim’zebra Adventures & Safaris driver then transfer to Dar es Salaam for overnight on Half Board Basis

DAY 2

Dar es Salaam – Ruaha

Pick up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and drive with packed lunch to Ruaha, one of Tanzania’s best kept secrets. The drive to Ruaha is a long stretch, about 9 hours, but is truly fascinating and gives you a real feel of the African country side. Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Ruaha on Full Board Basis.

DAY 3

Full Day in Ruaha National Park

Enjoy full day safari drives within Ruaha National Park with packed lunches. The remoteness of Ruaha gives you the perfect impression of a real safari in wild Africa. Return to lodge/tented camps in the evenings and overnight. Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Ruaha on Full Board Basis.

DAY 4

Full Day in Ruaha National Park

Another full day safari drives within Ruaha National Park with packed lunches. The remoteness of Ruaha gives you the perfect impression of a real safari in wild Africa. Return to lodge/tented camps in the evenings and overnight. Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Ruaha on Full Board Basis.

DAY 5

Ruaha National Park – Mufindi Highlands

After breakfast, depart and drive to Mufindi Highlands, Choice of activities at the lodge or relax enjoying the cool climate and stunning scenery. Overnight at lodge in Mufindi Highlands on Full Board Basis.

DAY 6

Mufindi Highlands – Mikumi National Park

After breakfast drive to Mikumi with packed lunch. Early afternoon arrival at Mikumi National Park. After lunch and freshening up, set off for a glimpse of Mikumi with a late afternoon safari drive in Mikumi National Park. Overnight at Overnight at lodge/tented camp in Mikumi on Full Board Basis.

DAY 7

Mikumi National Park – Selous/Nyerere National Park

Wake up early and delve into an early morning safari drive in Mikumi National Park. Return to lodge for breakfast and depart with packed lunch for the Selous Game Reserve. The journey will take you approximately 7 hrs through the most amazing and truly wild and untouched areas of Tanzania. Arrive at Selous Game Reserve and overnight at lodge/tented camp on Full Board Basis.

DAY 8

Full Day in Selous/Nyerere National Park

Wake up for a very early breakfast and indulge yourself into a very adventurous activity – walking safari! You will join a professional guide and an armed ranger for a walking safari into the wilderness and experience the wilderness on foot. This is a very enlightening trip where you will learn a lot about the flora and fauna of the reserve and its inhabitants. Return to lodge for lunch and relaxation. Overnight at lodge/tented camp on Full Board

DAY 9

Full Day in Selous/Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, depart for a full day of safari drives within this vast reserve. In the afternoon, experience a boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River. You will glide through groups of hippos, crocodiles, villages and see amazing bird life along the way. Return to lodge and overnight at lodge/tented camp on Full Board Basis.

DAY 10

Selous/Nyerere National Park – Zanzibar Stone Town

After breakfast you will be transferred to Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by Kim’zebra Adventures & Safaris representative and transferred to hotel in Stone Town. Afternoon at leisure; walk around the hotel area and get to know the locality. Overnight at hotel in Stone Town on Half Board Basis.

DAY 11

Zanzibar Beach

After breakfast, Kim’zebra Adventures & Safaris representative will transfer you to the beach resort. Afternoon at leisure at beach hotel. Dinner and overnight at beach hotel on Half Board Basis.

DAY 12

Zanzibar Beach

Full day on the beach enjoying the sun and sea. Dinner and overnight at beach hotel on Half Board Basis

DAY 13

Zanzibar Beach

DAY 14

POST: Zanzibar Beach – fly to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, Kim’zebra Adventures & Safaris representative will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam to a hotel of your choice or for your onward flight to your home country.

The Tour Price Includes

  • Airport transfers (Pick-up and drop-off)
  • Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
  • Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
  • Dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2-13 and breakfast on day 14 of your trip.
  • In case of a camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
  • Game drives, Concession fees, Accommodation, All park entry fees, Government tax 18% VAT on tour fees and Service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost. 
  • Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
  • Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
  • 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
  • 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
  • Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you (the prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Mid-range to High level ends hotels/lodge/tented Camps according to the program, other prices are applicable for the other accommodation options).

The Tour Price Excludes

  • Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast and Lunch on the first day and Lunch and dinner on the last
  • Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
  • International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
  • Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
  • Post accommodation in Zanzibar or Dar Es Salaam. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
  • Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
  • Ruaha balloon ride, per person Adult (Above 16yrs) $550, Child (7-16yrs) $530 {June - October} Daily launch at dawn (6:30am) returning approx. 9:45am.
  • Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
  • Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
  • Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
  • A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
