Join Tanzania Safari on this 5-day private lodge/camping safari to get a first glimpse of Tanzania’s highlights. During 4×4 game drives explore Tarangire National Park, which is famous for its huge elephant herds. Lake Manyara National Park will enchant birders with over 400 bird species. Proceed to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater and be on the look-out for Africa’s “Big Five”. This short 5-day safari can be done all year round. It is perfect for travelers who want to come across a large variety of wildlife but only have limited time. To avoid long transfers, this safari puts a focus on Tarangire, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara National Park as they are all within two-hour of Arusha. We purposely exclude Serengeti National Park as it is too far away and would take up too much time during a 5-day safari.

DAY 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Tarangire
08:00hrs drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for game drives with picnic lunch boxes. Located slightly off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. Late afternoon depart the park and drive for dinner and overnight at Tarangire Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 2
Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Serengeti
After breakfast depart for Serengeti with picnic lunch boxes, game drives en route towards Serengeti. The Serengeti is Africa's most famous. Renowned for its incredible concentrations of predators and the Great Migration of two million grazers, a safari here is guaranteed to be exceptional. Home to the largest herds and the highest concentrations of predators. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 3
Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Serengeti
Spend a full day in Serengeti for game drives, return to the camp for hot lunch then relaxation before departing for an afternoon game drive/you can depart with picnic lunch box for a full day game drive. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 4
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Ngorongoro
After breakfast Serengeti National Park for game drives, with picnic lunch box en-route game drive to Ngorongoro Crater and descend inside the crater for game drives with picnic lunch boxes. The Ngorongoro is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. Late afternoon ascend from the crater for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 5
Lake Manyara (5 hours) back to Arusha
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Upon request at extra cost
Breakfast at the Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp then go for game drives at the Lake Manyara National Park until midday then drive back to Arusha town where you Camping Safari in Tanzania ends. A Masai Village visit is also possible if you wish to get cultural and drive back to Arusha. End of Services.
The Tour Price Includes
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Lunch and dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch and dinner on day 2-4 and breakfast and lunch on day 5 of your trip.
- A camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives and all park entry fees 18% VAT on tour fees and service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you(The prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Budget/Standard/Mid-range or Luxury hotels/lodges/tented camps according to your choice).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Serengeti balloon ride, per person $600
- Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day.
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Accommodation in Arusha. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
