This affordable Tanzania Camping or lodge Safari is ideal for travelers with a limited time and budget in East Africa! First we explore the diverse Tarangire National Park, home to one of Tanzania's largest elephant populations and considered one of the most beautiful game reserves in Tanzania. Then we embark on a game drive in the scenic and diverse Lake Manyara National Park, best known for its tree-climbing lions. Next we drive into the highlands of the Great Rift Valley admiring breath taking views over the Masai Plains and Lake Manyara en route to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, hosting Africa's Big Five and an abundance of other wildlife. After game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater teeming with wildlife we travel to the village of Mto wa Mbu passing through Tanzania's scenic landscapes along the way. DAY 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Tarangire
Our wildlife adventure starts with a short tour briefing in Arusha, before we set off southwest toward our first Tanzanian game viewing destination, Tarangire National Park. We spend the afternoon enjoying superb game viewing in Tarangire Park followed by our first night under the African stars. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 2
Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Ngorongoro
After registration at the gate you will descend to the Crater Floor for full day of game drives and have picnic lunch at the picnic site at the Hippo poolside. After lunch you will continue with game drives in the Crater floor in search of the rhinos, lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, impalas, hyenas, topis, hartebeests many others. In the late afternoon you will drive at Simba Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 3
Ngorongoro - Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will start on our way to The Serengeti National Park. On your way you have the chance to visit Olduvai – Gorge where Leakey’s family discovered human fossils dating millions of years suggesting that Africa is the Cradle of mankind. You will enter through Naabi Hill gate and continue with game drives inside the Serengeti. Overnight will be either at on full boSeronera/Lobo Campsite/Lodge/Tented Campon full board basis.
DAY 4
Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in Serengeti
If it is in your interest, you may wake up early and go for a game drive at dawn in the Serengeti Plains then come back to the Campsite for breakfast. After breakfast you will go out with a lunchbox for a full day of game drives to the plains. Alternatively you may take the breakfast then go for game drives. The choice is yours! Overnight at Seronera/Lobo Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis.
DAY 5
Serengeti - Lake Manyara National Park
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
A Lodge/Tented Camp in/near Manyara
After breakfast we will drive on our way back via the Naabi Gate and across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Lake Manyara National Park. Arriving at about noon you will register at the Gate and take your lunch boxes at the Picnic site at the Gate. Late afternoon you will drive out of the park and pitch tents at a public campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp on full board basis in Mto wa mbu area. This is a small town at the Gate of Manyara National Park.
DAY 6
Lake Manyara (5 hours) back to Arusha
DINNER & OVERNIGHT AT
Upon request at extra cost
Breakfast at the Campsite/Lodge/Tented Camp then go for game drives at the Lake Manyara National Park until midday then drive back to Arusha town where you Camping/Lodge Safari in Tanzania ends. A Masai Village visit is also possible if you wish to get cultural.
The Tour Price Includes
- Bottled mineral water in the vehicle while on safari.
- Pick up and drop off at Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Arusha Airport.
- Accommodation and meals per the itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner).
- Lunch and Dinner on day 1, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on day 2-5, Breakfast and Lunch on day 6 of your trip.
- A camping safari: camping gear like tents, camping mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, camping chairs, etc.
- Game drives, Concession fees, Accommodation, All park entry fees, Government tax 18% VAT on tour fees and Service which cost nearly 100% of the total cost.
- Transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle from your hotel in Arusha to the parks and back (other pick-up points possible, please contact us for the right price)
- Ground transportation in a 8 setter or 6 setter 4x4 Safari vehicle with English Speaking Driver guide: -
- 8 setter Safari vehicle has 6 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- 6 setter Safari vehicle has 4 windows seats (in the passenger cabin) and 1 window seat next to the driver (in front)
- Accommodation of your choice: from budget camping to staying in luxurious lodges, we can arrange it for you (The prices mentioned above are for overnight stays in Budget/Standard/Mid-range or Luxury hotels/lodges/tented camps according to your choice).
The Tour Price Excludes
- Serengeti balloon ride, per person $599
- Meals not listed above. eg Breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last
- Tanzania Visa cost which is 50% except for Canadian and USA passport holders which is US$100.
- International and Domestic Flights and departure taxes (Quoted separately where applicable)
- Optional activities and excursions (short safari/tour after your Safari can be arranged upon request at an extra cost).
- Accommodation in Arusha. If you wish, we can however assist you in finding a place that corresponds to your needs and budget.
- Flights or other transport to Arusha. We can however arrange airport pickup for you. Let us know your itinerary and we’ll make it happen!
- Tips for the crew. We recommend a tip of 25 USD per day for your guide, and 15 USD per day for your cook, to be divided between each member of your group.
- Serengeti balloon ride, per person Adult (Above 16yrs) $599, Child (7-16yrs) $545. {Central All year round, Western 15th May - 30th Oct, and North 15th June - 15th Jan} Daily launch at dawn (6:30am) returning approx. 9:45am.
- Inoculations and personal insurance (e.g. Tanzania Visa, Travel, Medical and Baggage insurance, A doctor for the group, Laundry, Souvenirs, Telephone, Beverages (available to purchase) and all other services that are not mentioned as included.
- Holiday Surcharge : A supplement of US $ 40.00 per person per day will apply to all bookings on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31 December and 1st January
- A supplement of US $ 35.00 per person will apply to all bookings between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April (for all 4 days) as Easter holiday surcharge.
